Perfect Presents … Round 2

I posted last year about how to make your presents the best they could be … and this year I’m back, around the Holidays, to give some updated tips …

Along with wrapping paper (I’ll get to that soon), Gift Tags are definitely a fun way to say who the gift is from.  Cards can get lost, so what better way than to tie on a tag, or stick on a sticker!  Sugar Paper does it right with these amazing, letterpress gift tags!  20 to a pack for $18.

For those extra large gifts, Sugar Paper made these cute, letterpress tags.  Let me know if you want to purchase them from Small Field Papers and I can send you all the info!

In terms of wrapping paper, Mr. Boddingtons always has a great selection to choose from!  Below are some of the swatches!

All of these items are available at Small Field Papers, and there are a ton of other options to choose from!  So pick your paper, your tag or sticker, add a fun, colorful ribbon or bakers twine to tie it all together, and you’ll have a perfect present!!

Personalized Ink Stampers!

I was introduced to Lauren, owner of Rock, Paper, Scissors, through my friend Dabney at the Stationery Show last Spring!  I was ecstatic when she sent me images of her new Stamp line!  SO fun and different than the ones I was selling before!  They are super chic and perfect for cards, notes, bills, etc.  Below are some images of my favorite designs … so email me if you are interested in seeing the whole line and ordering!

Planning a Sip ‘n See …

My friend Kristin had a baby girl in August!!  Her mom wanted to throw her a Sip ‘n See so all her friends could see just how cute and precious she is!  Since Kristin’s shower turned out so well (well … I think so at least!), her mom asked me to help out with the Sip ‘n See.  Below are my ideas and you’ll see in the next post how it all came out!

I thought it would be super cute to have pink and white macarons at the shower!  They can be incredibly yummy (if you get them fresh and from the right place), they are easy to pick up and eat and aren’t messy!  I found a great place in Beverly Hills, Lette, that has the most exquisite macarons!  Not only are they absolutely beautiful, they are SO incredibly delicious!!

If you remember, I used a lot of elephants at Kristin’s baby shower.  Elephant cookies, elephant invitations, napkins with elephants, etc … and she really liked the idea and even got a little elephant stool for the baby nursery, so … I figured, why not stick with the theme …
I found these really cute elephant card holders and thought it would be really cute to have in front of the drinks, coffee (decaf, regular), milk (skim, cream), etc.  They’re cute and small, so won’t overpower a table … just give it a little extra, cute detail!

Since it was a baby girl, we had to have Pink Champagne!!  I thought it would be a really cute decoration and there’s so many great, fun cocktails to make with Pink Champagne.  Check back soon to see how the shower came together and turned out!

Brooklyn Wedding

Another one of my best friends was married a while back, and I was lucky enough to be a part of her special day and do her save the dates and wedding invitations!  Another one of our friends from High School, Sarah Geiger was the wedding photographer.  Sarah captured the day perfectly, and was featured on Style Me Pretty.  Click here to see the full story and see all the pictures!

Brooklyn is a special place for Vivia and Will, so they decided to get married at The Liberty Warehouse.  I thought it would be a cute idea for their Save the Date to feature the Brooklyn Bridge.  It turned out great!  We toned down the colors and printed it on a more grey scale, rather than black and white which would have been too harsh.

Above shows the Rehearsal Dinner invitation, Reception Card, Save the Date and RSVP card (clockwise starting at top left).  The Rehearsal was at Frankies 457, so we found an invitation that captured the feel of the restaurant.  The Reception and RSVP card were letterpress in navy ink from my calligrapher.
All in all, it was an amazing wedding … Sarah did such an amazing job with her photography and I had the best time with Vivia creating her Save the Dates and Invitations!!
